The Roller series is the joint creation of the partnership between the artist Regina Silveira and the designer Renata Meirelles, to develop a limited collection of pieces that will be presented as an installation. The Roller is a series based upon Derrapagens (Skid marks) by Regina Silveira, in which overlapping graphic patterns of tires form expanded configurations with the ability of migrating to a range of supports and spaces. In this series the Derrapagens integrate the poetry and production modes of Renata Meirelles, a textile artist whose work is characterized by extensive experimentation in laser cut patterns on a variety of fabrics – forming a digital lace – creating relationships with the body of the user.
