The Dalí lamp represents a creative fusion of two materials with contrasting natures: aluminum and glass. More than an aesthetic composition, it explores the unique qualities of each element, creating a piece that is both sculptural and functional. Derived from the Dalí pendant, presented at MADE 2024, this new tabletop version maintains the original spirit, now reinterpreted with new materials and proportions. The piece combines blown glass with a tubular aluminum structure, polished brass details, and a gray-painted white marble base. It is also available in a second version, with black-painted aluminum, brass details, and a Nero Marquina marble base. The glass comes in three variations: colorless, acid-etched (matte), and colorless with black dots, each offering a distinct visual effect. The aluminum structure has cutouts at the ends that allow LED light to travel and illuminate the entire length of the glass, highlighting its sinuous shape. The glass is free-blown and supported by a mold, the same one used to make the Alumina Screen pieces, used only to mark the folds that fit into the structure—a handmade process that lends authenticity and lightness to the piece. More than a support, the aluminum structure acts as an element of physical and visual balance, utilizing the composition's own weight to ensure stability. The result is a form that appears to be constantly melting, evoking the dreamlike and surrealist universe of Salvador Dalí's works—the direct inspiration for the lamp's name. Dalí doesn't just illuminate space: he provokes, interprets, and transforms matter into visual poetry. Material: Glass, aluminum, brass, and LED
